[fr] Après Impressing the Czar de William Forsythe en 2007-2008, la prestigieuse compagnie du Ballet Royal de Flandre revient à Luxembourg avec le mythique Lac des cygnes de Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski dans une chorégraphie de Márcia Haydée. Celle qui, durant des années sous la direction de John Cranko, en tint le rôle-titre avec pour partenaires Richard Cragun et Rudolf Nureyev, signe une chorégraphie d'inspiration classique en revisitant le plus merveilleux des ballets dans une mise en scène spectaculaire de Pablo Nuñez.

Mit der prestigeträchtigen Compagnie des Ballet Royal de Flandre bringt die Ballettikone eine klassische Version dieses choreographischen Meisterwerks auf die Bühne, die sich auf wunderbare Weise mit den russischen Legenden, auf denen Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovskis Ballettpartitur basiert, tänzerisch auseinandersetzt. Begleitet wird sie dabei durch das Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, unter der Leitung von Benjamin Pope, einer der versiertesten Dirigenten seiner Zeit.

[en] With this new version of Swan Lake for the Royal Ballet of Flanders, legendary ballerina Márcia Haydée returns to the roots of the story, mainly found in Russian legends, and seeks to honour the classical tradition of this choreographic masterpiece. Joining her will be the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under the direction of Benjamin Pope, without a doubt one of the most versatile conductors of his generation. Together with the exceptional dancers of the Royal Ballet of Flanders they bring Tchaikovsky's original score to life, giving full value to the storyline, yet allowing the dancers to enrich their movements with their experience of modern choreographers.
