Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg

WORKSHOPS

Dear friends of Théâtres de la Ville,
Dear friends of contemporary dance,

The Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg have the pleasure to welcome the world premiere of Dystopian Dream, the full theatrical production of Nitin Sawhney’s album, choreographed by the acclaimed Wang Ramirez dance company in collaboration with the composer.

Dystopian Dream
Friday 29th & Saturday 30th September at 8pm at the Grand Théâtre

The final rehearsals will be in Luxembourg and the artistic team would like to invite you to discover their development process. Therefore, we have scheduled 3 different activities during which you’ll have the opportunity to glimpse behind the scenes.

Thursday 21st September 2017 at the Grand Théâtre

Workshop with the singer Eva Stone for students +15 / 4.30 pm

Every song has a story and each piece of music an emotion. Eva will lead a relaxed and personalised workshop based on her experiences as a singer in the industry, focusing heavily upon song interpretation and musical sensitivity to help those taking part find their own musicality. Eva hopes this will give young students with an interest in singing, song writing, contemporary music and careers in session work the tools with which to optimise their creativity and talent, and to learn how best to impact audiences.

Meet the creative team / 7pm

Hear the creative team behind Dystopian Dream talk about the development process and ask the experts about the collaboration across multiple art forms such as video mapping, choreography and music.

Thursday 28th September 2017 at the Grand Théâtre

Open rehearsal followed by a Q&A / 7pm

Have a first and exclusive look at this new production followed by a Q&A with the choreographers.
